90 years of passionate craftsmanship

The Péclard family has been producing unique pieces of jewellery in Zurich's old town for 90 years.
Unique pieces with a high standard of craftsmanship and artistry. Yves Péclard is the third generation to run the jewellery business. For him, jewellery is not a luxury: "Rather, it is a way of telling a story, of capturing emotions. Our jewellery is a companion for life."

Because no two lives are the same, he and his team have specialised in forging unique pieces. "Mementos for the birth of a child, a signet ring for a confirmation, a necklace for a wedding anniversary and so on. Everything that leaves the Péclard atelier is
exclusive, but it doesn't have to be expensive."

In the hands of the goldsmiths, a precious pendant can be created from a shell found at the beach. "We have deliberately not become a jewellery label, but have remained an exclusive workshop."

A high-end manufactory where love and appreciation for the craft take centre stage. Sustainability is also part of this philosophy. That is why the six goldsmiths and two apprentices only work with certified raw materials. They also extend the life of beloved heirlooms and repair necklace or grandmother's silver coffee pot.

Every piece sold in the boutique is created in the workshop above. "Nothing has changed since 1933. After my grandfather opened the shop on Peterhofstatt in 1931, he moved here to Strehlgasse 33 after two years. I still climb the same steep stairs every day as he did," says Yves Péclard. A tradition that continues.

His daughter Billie May, who is also a goldsmith, is also part of the family business. With our business, we are not only preserving a family tradition, but above all an exclusive craft that has become rare worldwide.

The three generations of Philippe, Yves and Billie Péclard

Over five generations, our family has preserved a classic goldsmith's art that has become rare worldwide.

Each generation has left its own mark on the workshops, and the house has undergone many remodelling and renovation projects. But one thing remains unchanged to this day: the high standards of craftsmanship and artistry.

Péclard Jeweller 1933

We have deliberately not become a jewellery label, but have remained an exclusive workshop. We don't want to trade in jewellery, we want to create it. That's why you won't find any luxury watches or international brands here. Instead, we have a dedicated team of 12 experts who are committed to quality that strives for timelessness.

Yves Péclard took over this reputation from his father Philippe F. Péclard in 2004 and continues to run it for a clientele that is looking for something special and has remained loyal to us for years and generations.

Our work

The eye, the hand, the precision: the art of the goldsmith is the creation of a unique piece. The setting should be as unique as the jewellery itself. As unique as the person for whom we are creating a piece of jewellery.

We have never deviated from this standard of classic goldsmithery, and today we are one of the most renowned Swiss jewellers who preserve the exclusive craft. We pride ourselves on making our customers' wishes come true. The simple and the extravagant. Sometimes dreams are fulfilled very quickly, and sometimes it takes several visits to us. From the first drafts to the fine adjustments. Our work is not done until each piece of jewellery has become something personal, something special.
